Prescriptions

Ordering repeat prescriptions

The easiest way to order repeat prescriptions is:

  • using your NHS Wales account (through the NHS Wales website or in the NHS Wales App)

This account shows you all your repeat medicine and dosage and you can choose the ones you need.

You can also:

  • phone us on 01792 872409, Monday to Friday from 8am to 1pm
  • bring the paper form to any of the surgeries. There is a box by the front doors to save you waiting.

We do not take repeat prescription requests by email.

Collecting your prescription

You can nominate a preferred pharmacy if you wish for us to send your prescription there directly.

Please inform us of this so that we can update your records accordingly.

Questions about your prescription

If you have questions about your medicine, your local pharmacists can answer these. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.

The NHS website has information on how your medicine works, how and when to take it, possible side effects and answers to your common questions.

If you would like to speak to someone about your prescription:

  • phone 01792 872409 and a member of staff will be able to help.

Medication reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see / speak to a doctor, nurse or practice pharmacist at least once a year to review these regular medications and notifications may appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate consultation to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

What to do with old medicines

Take it to the pharmacy you got it from or bring it in to the surgery. Do not put it in your household bin or flush it down the toilet.
