To request an appointment:

  • Use AskMyGP to request an appointment, Monday to Friday from 8am to 11am. We will respond on the same day. If demand is high on a particular day, the service will be closed earlier. If you have an urgent medical problem and the online form has closed, please phone the surgery.
  • phone us, Monday to Friday, when we are open.

Please make sure you are able to take a phone call on the day you fill in the form until 6pm.

We may ask you to come to the surgery. Make sure you can come to the surgery if needed.

If you cannot come to the surgery, please contact us on a day you are available.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • by text or email.

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond.
  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, or by text or email.
  • If you need an interpreter.
  • If you have any other access or communication needs.

Home visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need. To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice as soon after 8am as possible. After 1pm you should ask for a visit only if a problem cannot wait until the next day. These visits are made by the duty doctor and not your usual doctor.

We only offer home visits for:

  • medical reasons

  • people who cannot leave the house

  • people who would be at risk if they travelled.

The doctor will decide if a home visit is needed. In most cases we will not accept a lack of transport as a reason for a home visit.
